Subwoofer recommendation?

And where do you see $600 shipped? I'm seeing $350 for each on their website right now...

Try calling ED and see if they can match the deal they had running a few days back. They recently had the deal......that if you buy more than 1 A2-300 sub they would sell each for $300. Sorry for the confusion....But shipping is included in their prices. One of the reasons I went with ED. I looked at HSU and SVS and you will end up spending another $50+ in shipping so you have to factor that in when doing your budget numbers.

As far as connection goes. You can just use a Y connector or else the sub have input and output plugs so you can run them basically in series.

As much as I want to run 2 subs, due to size constraints and WAF (mostly WAF), I still think I need to stick to 1 sub.

Checking out Elemental Designs, I'm thinking the A3-300 may be my best bet.. It's only $550 which isn't too bad, and if it actually delivers what it's specified to, I think I'll be pretty happy.

For placement reasons, I'm trying to get a sub that is around 20" high (so it can go under an end table in the corner of the room). Even though the A3-300 is 20.5", I think I'll be able to make it work. All other subs that I've seen seem to be 21" or higher, and especially as you get into beefier subs...

I'm still going to keep looking at the moment, but the A3-300 is the top runner!

I think the A3-300 will do a great job. I had a single A2-300 for about 3 months before I picked up my second one and the single A2-300 was very impressive. I am sure the better driver and larger amp on the A3-300 will do very well.

Unfortunately, Elemental Designs' website is showing the A3-300 not being available until Dec. 16th. I hope they are on target to meet that date, I'd really like to get it before Christmas...

Also, is there anything I need to look out for when purchasing a subwoofer cable? I'm going to need about 30 feet, and the cables on Elemental Designs' website for that length are $70, however a 35 ft. cable from monoprice is about $8. Am I missing something here??

Everyone overcharges for "subwoofer cable", except for a few places like monoprice. "Subwoofer cable" is just a mono RCA cable, it isn't anything special. Just order it from monoprice or blue jeans cable.

I second that. I have been purchasing all my cable needs from both of those sites and been very satisfied.
