Is it possible that you were overdriving the single sealed sub in your space? SVS products are well engineered, there's no reason that the SB1000 should have sounded less accurate.

I guess it's possible. Even so, that would still be even more of a reason i would prefer ported.

The sealed wasn't bad by any means, i just couldn't get out of it what i needed. The ported gives me that extra 'oomph' that it was missing, without any loss in accuracy or speed to my ears.
