P.S. - My only good deal was a HP Laser Printer PIII ( I think) which I won at a drawing at conference in the late 80s. It retailed for $1,100

P.S.S - well maybe I did get one good deal recently Sony XDR-S3HD radio from Fry's Electonics. It retails for $199 they supposedly had them in stock on sale for $99 with a $50 rebate. We they gave my a rain check and blew me off because they never came in. I contacted BBB and eventually they got some in and eventually they gave me not one but two $50 credits. Nice Sony XDR-S3HD for zero dollars ($0.00)

Actually when I talked with the owner of Tweeter (he called me directly after learning of the Attorney General and BBB complaints) and told me he had five other people who complained of the "false advertising" that his company did (it was a total bait and switch job to get people in the doors) anyway he agreed to send each of us the advertised TV (Pioneer 620 or 720) for the advertised cost and even threw in free delivery and a five year in house warranty for our trouble. So the owner lost out on about 35,000 in deals becasue of the false advertising on their year end sale they have. What was funny was the very next year they had the same sale only this time they had a "disclaimer" in small print at the bottom which clearly stated, "we are not responsible for misprinted prices or lack of inventory in individual stores." Yep I was one of five that caused that to happen. Looking back on it, I should've paid the extra 500.00 for the HD-720 (64") but at the time money was an issue.

Oh yeah I almost forgot I managed to get two Monster AVS2000's for 299.00/ea when Circuit City had them on closeout. I know I hate monster also but that was too good a price to pass up.

I've got pictures. If you ignore the facial hair (well, fur), she's quite cute. Kind of short, and the tail is a bit odd unless you've been into anime for a while, but - cute. In other words, way out of my league.

I love my Def Techs, but I bought all of them used either on ebay, audiogon, or craigslist. The best deal I ever got was as pair of BP8 towers for $150, but the pair of BP10s for $400 wasn't bad either. My latest craigslist Def Tech score was $800 for a pair of BP7006 towers.

Yeah worst mistake I made was selling my two pair of DefTech BP10b's for 400.00/pair to a co-worker to help cover the cost of the BP7001sc. I really should've kept em, but my great room just didn't have the room for three pair of towers and I figured after selling my BP10's and getting the great price on the 7001sc, that I actually paid out of pocket 800.00 for the 7001sc.

Still shouldve kept the BP10's and spent 50,000 converting my two car garage into a HT room.
