PB2000. If you can swing it, I think you'll be happy. I recommend going dual tho. I'm afraid the 1000 might be a bit underpowered for your space, even with 2 of them. Again, with HSU you can get a little more performance per dollar, but they're not nearly as pretty as SVS, and SVS customer service, trade up program and trial period is really hard to beat.
again i am not trying to knock pictures off the wall or rattle the windows. just provide some deep clear and detailed bass for my music with presence!

I know. That was my goal too. A more powerful sub can reproduce bass frequencies with less effort and strain, which would be less distortion. I like the idea that my subs run cool and effortlessly. Longer life and cleaner bass. It's not about knocking pictures off the walls.

i want a 2ch setup for music. sound quality and cost wise...which of these 3 is best?
The salient difference will be cost, features, and aesthetics.

For low cost, probably best to just get an AVR.

nah, that sex appeal of the Yammie integrated has got it all over some 'nickel ninety eight' AVR !! ;)

Best Buy stopped paying commission over ten years ago. Something about removing competition between salespeople.......
Perhaps not literal commission but surely they have some forms of monetization for the sales people's sales achievements?

Or he could get the celebrated/affordable/purrttty A-S801 integrated amp for 700 to 800 bucks, which may still (after all these years) btchslap any receiver out there in the same price bracket.

Yeah, the A-S801 is still pretty. Just not as pretty as the A-S1200, 2200, and 3200. :D

Maybe. They certainly didn't go out to look for knowledgeable sales people to staff the store closest to me, though.

Technics has a really nice integrated out now as well. I haven't look seriously at it so I don't know it's power or topology but fond memories none the less for back in the mid-seventies I owned a sweet Technics integrated and it's matching tuner.

I have a serious problem with this spec-

FTC Output Power-
150W + 150W ( 1kHz, T.H.D. 0.5 %, 8Ω, 20kHz LPF ),
300W + 300W ( 1kHz, T.H.D. 0.5 %, 4Ω, 20kHz LPF)

Another problem is that most of it was made using so many surface-mount devices. Out of warranty, that will be almost impossible to service.

There are cheaper models. I also like them a lot, but I really think they're expensive. The model you show has something I expect to be somewhat controversial - a DSP for Phono (even equiped with some auto-adjust). I guess a significant portion of purists will be rulled out by the fact their beloved analogue goes transgender and retransition (to provoke John Parks :D :D God, I'm so topical)

If I didn't care about money, I wouldn't mind at all (and I would love a DSP for TT)

Fact being it couldn't do it to any. Watt being watt, here's one it couldn't do it to:
But the avr would outperform the 2ch feature-wise.

I even seem to remember it was one of A-S models that was compared here in these forums for what's inside and it showed it had parts from AVR.
