I've just come across Paradigm speakers, does anyone have any experience with these speakers on this forum ?

I've read some good things about Paradigm but want to hear from people who have compared them with other top performers.

Any idea how their reference speakers perform ?

Any constructive input will be appreciated
I auditioned the Paradigm Studio 100 v3. I didn't think they sounded similar to Revel, KEF, Philharmonic, or Linkwitz. The Studio 100 were not for me.

Some people like them, some don't like them.

Myself, and at least a few others here consider paradigm speakers to be pretty mediocre.

Very pretty mediocre. InTheIndustry (who is an audio dealer/ custom installation) told me once he heard the Paradigm Reference Signature 8 with dual subs. He did not recommend Paradigm. I think his favorite speakers are the BG Radia.

Paradigm Signature S8 & C5 (Version 3) Speakers

Thank you all for your kind and useful input. Please note that I am talking about the Paradigm S8 and C5 (Version 3) speakers.

There are very limited reviews on the web on the Paradigm Signature S8 and C5 (Centre) but the ones I have found speak very highly and positively about the S8 and C5. However, I cannot find a single resource on the internet that compare the S8 to the KEF 207/2 or R900. I have listened to the 207/2s and like the sound so it helps to have some form of a reference for comparison. However, I must say that I am not biased towards any specific brand, its the quality of sound that I am interested in first - physical design and aesthetics are important but definitely a secondary issue.

I'd like to get a better insight into Paradigm's top-end signature speakers and their performance specifically for a dedicated 7.1 home theater configuration. Music in the dedicated theater room will be played occasionally. Does anyone here own the signature S8s and C5 and using them for a dedicated home theater room ?

A neutral and non biased opinion on the actual and real world performance of the Paradigm S8 and C5 will be appreciated. As these are Paradigm's top speakers, I'm sure a concerted effort has gone into designing and producing them. I know it's difficult to calibrate human perception and everyone has their own taste but some further insight into these speakers will be nice.

Here are 2 online reviews that I managed to find:-

I'd suggest: Listen to the speakers you have an interest in, and listen to find what you like.
It will always come down to personal preference, regardless of the measurements, or what an 'expert' says you should like/buy.
Measurements are great!....but, what if you don't like the sound despite those great measurements?
Everyone's hearing is different... it's a fact.

If you like the way something sounds in your house while watching a movie on a Friday night, you have the right to do so. It's not like the speaker police are going to come and arrest you....even though they may want to.:D
