Socialist audiophiles?

GO-NAD!

Audioholic Warlord
I'm not a socialist audiophile, but I would like to be.

Sure, just give me lots of high end A/V gear. I'm even willing to share the experience with others!

As others have said, it's all about balance. Communism, socialism, capitalism, ism, ism, ism... It all needs some balance and not a one of them is entire bad, or entirely good no matter what Rush wants you to believe. Kind of like religion right? ;)
Actually, a socialist audiophile would be content that everybody would receive middle-of-the-road A/V equipment. Nobody would get high-end stuff, but nobody would go without a HT or, heaven forbid, have to suffer with HTiBs.:D Of course, everybody would still be paying for their equipment - it would just come out of your taxes. And, with the government's greater purchasing power, your middle-of-the-road equipment should be cheaper than if you had to purchase it privately. ;)

But inevitably, the government will decide to tighten its belt. And, as a result of the budgetary restraint, peopel will not be able to get their equipment when they want/need it. They'll have to wait a few weeks or months to get it.

The official Revitol website needs some work.

The blurb says that Revitol helps to increase the production of collagen and elastin. Of collagen, this may be true. But elastin is an immutable, very tough protein no longer produced after puberty. If elastin is added to Revitol, fine. But it states that Revitol stimulates the body’s production of elastin. According to the textbooks on any dermatologist’s shelf, elastin can be replicated only early on, only in the bodies of children.
