I have a samsung lcd le32c tv and have just bopught a LG home cinema 5.1 system. I have connected it and the dvd works with the 5.1 system great but i can't get surrond sound when watching tv. I have changed the tv speakers to 'external speakers' and get no sound at all. any ideas ?

How are you connecting the LG to the TV? What model is the LG?

Typically you use optical out from the TV to the receiver (LG) if you are doing that. More often, you connect the cable TV tuner to the receiver (LG) and then pass HDMI up to the TV, so all sound is through the TV.
