Should the speakers dictate the Amplifier or other way around?

I'm not saying he's wrong about everything. He's been in the game for a long time and has probably forgotten more about audio than I'll ever know, but some of the stuff he peddles is straight up snake oil.
Huh well to be fair it sounds as though he makes some of the equipment he was talking about so its hard to take his word as objective truth when he has a stake in what he claims.

Mixing a bit of actual science with the pseudoscience lends credibility to the nonsense they're peddling.

Paul has a nice home in Boulder, where the median home price is a cool $1M. PT Barnum would be proud.

I enjoyed watching some of his vids for a while... even when they made me scratch my head a bit. *shrugs
Definitely lost it with talk about cables making a difference and such.
For me, and Amps, I want to see a good quality, stable power supply. Throw in a good capacitor bank. Oh, and a clean signal path with no coloration. :D
I do think that driven within parameters, Amps should not change the signal passing through them beyond simply Amplifying them. And that should be able to be done without any telltale sign beyond Gain.

I might get to experiment soon with some nice Class Ds. We'll see. :D

Altho he probably got the advantage of being in Boulder early when the prices were much less....otoh he's coming to the snake oil a bit late :)
