ok, so your new riser is a bass trap. but it looks like its covered with plywood all round except the bottom, if you were to fill it up with stuff, would the bass frequencies pass through the wood?
Yeah. Its a ply wood top, with 2 by 8 sides and braces. It will still work, but I need to stuff it FULL. Insulation is for 2 by 4s, not 2 by 8s, so it gunna take alot.

I am sure I can find well over 1,000 useless posts..
Uhm, lets see - I am sure we could find almost 200 posts just in that long thread in the steam vent (Have you ever just "lost it"? ):p :p :p
Heh, of coarse. But thats my purpose on this forum, didn't you see?

Everything I say is intended to wreck homes, kerplode people, and above all else, punchasize face-holes.

If you REALLY want to make it a bass trap, cover the bottom with plywood and fill it with sand.

Hey Sheep.

Yes I may have got up on the wrong side of the bed that day or maybe i had too much wine the night before and I may have blew off at you and I apologize for that. However, you continually throw digs at me and use sarcasm and then sugar coat it to everyone here and make me out to be the bad guy. I just had enough by that point. Especially from a kid. Showed lack of respect on your part. I should not have said what i did to you and again I am sorry. I should have had the maturity to let it slide. This post was not the issue but a continuation of previous posts.

and yes, us fellow canucks should stick together.

I didn't use sarcasm in that post. If I us sarcasm, I would have put this face  at the end, not :) that one.

But since I've been attacking you on more then 1 occasion (IYO) please, show me where I wronged you.

Lasty, if you're going to say something, prepare for it to be heard.

Riser update.

Well, we have moved around furniture, and I have a total of 6 seats for watching a movie in my Room/HT.

I cannot WAIT for Tokyo Drift to come out. This room will be packed, and the system will be cranked.

Aw, so fun.

Because of the perspective of the pic it is hard to see the height diff between the front and rear row. Any chance for a side angled pic?

I will try a couple other shots today. It's hard because my room is fairly small. But there is enough rise for the back row to see the TV.

Alternate view

I took a photo today that should show the rise for the second row. Its really hard, because the room is only 16feet deep, and the camera can zoom out for crap.

I'm getting a new couch for the front that's wider, and lower, so the back row can see better (depending on the person, their head can block a bit of the screen).

New couch and rug!

Ok,

I got a new couch for the front row (sits lower) and a rug that goes underneath everything! There you go Nick250, I got a rug. I don't think I heard a difference though, because my room is basically couch now. :D

You have a very good setup, I would do some more acoustic dampening if possible.

We all have that "list". Unless we have no ambitions, but hey we are human.

update.

Ok, so if you're reading through the thread, and see barely any pictures, it's because I rearranged my photobucket account.

The pics in the first post are the most recent ones I have. I'll throw an updated pic of myself up sometime when I get one (not going to go out of my way for one lol).

I will be getting a new rug soon because my mommy is getting a new one for upstairs from me and my brother :)

Hopefully I can get those speaker stands from speakerman.

Here's a layout drawing I whipped up in paint.

The Black blocks are the speakers and subwoofer. The riser is the rectangle under the rear couch. The door is between the right front and the end of my bed.

Tripod fun!

Hello,

For my dads birthday he received a tripod, and hot damn, it's the best thing for pictures! You can take such clear, flashless pictures with it.

I took a computer pictures of stereo and computer with it.

Enjoy!
