and the PA 120 is $300+ shipping from sites I trust but $259 shipped from shop*cm and from reading reviews that site looks a bit sketchy...
Go on ebay and look for the PA-150. A guy on AVS forums just bid on one and got it for $299+ shipping.

I don't need a 150 though :p. that's a bit too much for my small-medium sized room i believe :D.

LAST questions (hopefully) before I drop cash.

BIC F12 for $200 or PA 120 for $300?

and with my set up are their any specific cords or wires I should get that would improve system quality?

Cords don't improve any quality. They ether work or they don't. Cheap 12awg lamp cord will work fine as speaker cable. Better ones have ether nicer finish or/and better connectors - for durability/convenience and looks
Just get all at monorpice.

I have Matt's old PA-120 and if PA150 cost $299, I would not pay same for 120, but probably in ballpark of $220-250
I do enjoy the sub, but I don't have anything to compare it against.
Also the match to compare would be BIC PL200, not F12.
http://www.acousticsounddesign.com/core/view_BigProduct.cfm?PID=1555 - Not that long ago Offers of $279 were accepted for it, maybe they still do :)

ok got it. I do not have the ability to go hear any of these subs in person so I basically want someone to tell me what to get that is in the ball park of the PA-120.
The pl200 looks damn nice too but is it better? in a mostly musical sense

Interesting that one would say - that the Energy sub does not look
real good. The Energy, was measured in a large room to reach 104db
at 25 hz, which is good for a 10 inch sub. The BIC PL200, can not do
that. I would choose the Energy over the PA 120 and the Bics >> The
good subs at AC4L, will cost over $450. It is your choice, have fun and
good luck.
