Sat ?? HDMI May Not Talk to Receivers ??

I didn't want to post my question in the "Cable Box HDMI May Not Talk to Receivers" thread. But I am wondering if the same problem has come up for satilite subscribers also. Has anyone heard if this is a problem or not?

Yes, I believe it is also a problem for some satellite receivers using HDMI 1.1 and who have not yet applied a firmware update.

Denon 4306 Issues

I didn't want to post my question in the "Cable Box HDMI May Not Talk to Receivers" thread. But I am wondering if the same problem has come up for satilite subscribers also. Has anyone heard if this is a problem or not?

In the process of trying to get the answers to adding to My System a Denon 4306 & downloading the Instructions For the Reciever,That Question Came Up.
I Called Directv & Inquired if indeed there were any problems with My HD reciever The HR10-250 and HDMI & Denon 4306.
I recieved assurances the Denon 4306 & the HR10-250 Were issue free.

FYI: If you are just looking for video switching I picked up the 5x1 HDMI switcher from Monoprice recently and hooked it up to a DirecTV HD DVR and a Oppo DVD player and it had no problems at all switching them. I had heard that the specific DirecTV model in use had some issues when hooked up to certain receivers... sometimes. So, I can't say with any definitive assurance that this switcher does a better job, but it may avoid HDCP altogether since it doesn't need to manipulate the signal.

Under 150 bucks for 5 HDMI sources to be switched? Not a bad price for sure!
