Hey Nuance, I haven't been here in a while and I was pleasantly surprised to find this thread...

I trust that you are still enjoying your RT/STs every day. :D

No recent word about my HT3s (they won't look like coffins, my wife wouldn't let me get the standard cabinets :p ). Just a guess, but I'm thinking by Halloween  Appropriate, I guess, considering that they are going to be orange and black...

Welcome aboard. This was the first forum I started my search on, and then wandered over to a few others, before landing at AVS.

Cheers,
Funk

Thanks brother - good to see a familiar around here besides mazer and warp.

I am certainly enjoying my ST RT's! They blow my mind all over again each day I listen to them. Where or where have these speakers been all my life? Now that I have my dream speakers I should really concentrate on buying a house. I think I got the order reversed as far as those two purchases go. :o

I am greatly looking forward to the day your custom HT3's arrive. It's going to be like getting my RT's all over again. :D

I hope all is well bud.

Yeah, I would have to agree that the RT - Song Towers are something special, and I am really looking to getting more time... Funk - its nice of you to show up here... not as much posturing going on here like over at AVS... after a while that gets a little ridiculous. Make sure you Bring pics over here when you get your Custom HT3's... they are very welcome here...

:)

Come over again anytime; you are always welcome. That invitation is extended to everyone on this forum as well. If you want to make the trip, head on over. :)

I agree Warp. AVS gets a little , uhm... silly, sometimes. There are a few very cool people over there, and a whole lot of really big heads! I want to hear the RT-STs, someday. A pair of them and a JL sub or two would be an excellent combination IMO. I've got to have the bass punch, and kick me :D

Any plans for another WI get-together? Have you had a chance to hear the revised SVS MT's yet? Your experience with the originals left me feeling feeling a bit flat about them, too bad they didn't peg it out of the gate. Perhaps when they finish up the LTS series...

Nuance- I can't wait either. I am afraid that Jim is too busy getting ready for RMAF to finish up my HT3s... I sent him an email last week asking for a current update, and got no reply (could be his spam filter again, I know he was having problems like that in the past) so I am not too worried, but I want my speakers Man! My friends keep asking about them, and they think that I got scammed! I can't wait to blow their socks off when they finally get here :p :D :p

Cheers,
-Funk

I really don't want to read anything more about the Salk Songtowers. All this blah, blah, blah my Songtowers this, and my Songtowers that. Do you guys know what you sound like? Your going to make me want to go PURCHASE a pair. NOW STOP THIS.

What songtower's are songtowers you songtowers talking songtowers about songtowers? We songtowers never songtowers talk songtowers about songtowers SongTower's.
:D:p

Seriously though, it just so happens many who have heard them love them. In fact, if funkmonkey stuck to the $2000 budget he may very well have a pair right now. They are a superb speaker for the money; simple as that. My opinion, of course.

Your welcome to head over to mi casa any time, mazersteven. I'd love to get your impressions and meet you.

I am routing for you brother.

+2 about AVS. I love it, but sometimes...whoa! It can be a madhouse of huge egos and attention seekers sometimes...a lot of times...okay, most of the time. :D Still, I like AVS, though. For the most part the community is extremely caring and helpful.

Rock-on man... but did you even read the thread that you just posted in??? How is your guitar amp relevant? Just did a search for coffin or something. Looks good though.

I got to reading this and for some odd reason found it absolutely fascinating.

Then I got distracted and started listening to Santana. :)

I can't wait to get time to go through this and the thread over at Audio Circle.

For those not up to speed with current events in global speaker acquisitions, I should probably mention that I recently got a pair of these along with a matching center thanks to my three new best friends (fuzz90210, KEW and Swerd). These are the curly cherry with a medium stain IIRC. A lot of effort went into getting these three speakers rounded up but I'm totally diggin' these things. Part of what makes them work in my space is that they can be backed up against a boundary and still sound good. I'm not sure if that would still be true if they were being played at high SPLs but in my circumstances it works just fine.

^ I do too. Alex - it has all come together nicely buddy! I am so happy that you're enjoying your ST RT's as much as I am.

I am also really happy and pleased to know how much you're enjoying those speakers, and to see the final (or nearly final) results of your room & EC remodeling.

I recall you once recently mentioned that Salk and Philharmonic owners are eager to be "ambassadors" for their speakers. I'm glad you saw it that way instead of thinking we are like unwanted Jehovah's Witness missionaries knocking on your door :D. I think, you now understand our zeal, everyone should have speakers like these. Think about becoming the southeast New England Salk ambassador and let others hear these wonderful speakers. Individual styles of hospitality of course vary, so in your case, maybe you should stock up on duct tape, chloroform, and Mazola oil .

Looking great!
Your devotion to constructing the entertainment center/room and assembling a great set of components really paid off.
I'm sure you'll figure out things to tweak/upgrade as time goes by, but what you've got seems about perfect for your situation!
