You want us to help convince you of what you want to do already? :) I wouldn't go Rythmik particularly myself...but I've diy'd my last several subs anyways. So far there are no bad subs on the page. If I were spending your money I'd try two of those Deep Sea Sound 24s... :)

I guess I am giving more credit to the Rythmik SUBs than they are worth it for Music. But have to say that I got that recommended for Music and Movies from the Community. But I guess that went down with the Budget I was going out initially.
Hey, there's nothing wrong with Rhythmik subwoofers, tho you might be able to match it for a little bit less. I'd be happy with them. It just that musical perfomance isn't really a relevant factor is all were saying. Especially with your sub choices. All are winners.

Sir that would be way out of budget for 2 SUBs. Wouldn't I be better off having 4 x 18" SUBs for similar price.

It's worth noting too that Monoprice THX sub drivers are measured at the edge the radiating surface area of the drivers too. Unlike most others who measure from the edge of the basket. By those standards Mono could advertise bigger drivers.

The other guy quoted

"The FV25HP is the most all around of those that you listed. Digs as deeps as the 2400. Maybe a tad less output under 20hz, don't know for sure. Plus it bests all the others above 30hz by quite some margin.

The Mono 16 and 215 would have similar performance to the FV25HP.

No third party tests but the PSA 3612 should be comparable as well."

I guess Monolith THX SUBs are looking to be better all-rounders than JTR Subs.

Hmmm..................

They have a lot going for them. I want a pair. I've spent many an online session drooling over the 215. Then they came out with the THX series...

For room mode smoothing perhaps. I wish you had more money for me to spend, four of those 24s would of course be better :)

Nah... 2 24s and 3 Devs with the 21" NSW.

He'll liquefy his organs with that set up... and bring down the walls of Jericho.

Don't know what THD on JTR and Monolith look like. But just going based on SPL Rythmik is real close to JTR down to 12.5hz after which it takes a dip while JTR goes down to 10hz. Monolith falls off below 20hz.

I wonder if @shadyJ reviewed Rythmik SUBs. Not visible in the above list. But if he did. Would like to get his opinion. Would I be better off picking Rythmik over JTR for Music. As they don't seem to be far off in going down to 12.5hz even though JTR has capability to go even beyond that range. I guess he would like to have controlled tight bass for Music. So will it be a worthy tradeoff.

I have had some experience with Rythmik subs but not for a formal review. They are good subs, but they aren't really that much better than these other brands that you mention. All of these subs have very good bass for music. You would never know the difference between them until you hit the subs' limits, and anyone who tells you otherwise is kidding themselves. The sound quality is determined by the frequency response, and the frequency response is governed by the room far more than the subwoofer. If you were really interested in having high-quality bass, you would be looking at something like a four-sub system with something like Dirac Bass Control. The brand of the sub hardly matters so long as it's not a really crappy sub.

Would he be better off Picking up 4 x Rythmik FV18 Subwoofers over 2 x Rythmik Fv25HP or 2 x JTR Captivator 2400 Subwoofers.
