Experts here - I need your help. I am novice in this area:( - advise will be much appreciated. :)

Now here is my question - I need to build up a hometheater system:D and
I am a novice at this - here is my plan !! I need to buy pretty much
everything below.
One constraint is - I travel a lot and hence would really like to have
NTSC/PAL capability in the set up.

1. TV = Samsung UN46B8000 or UN46B6000VF: I am not sure if I can
really notice the difference between 240Hz Vs 120Hz on a small screen
like 46" and hence I am leaning towards buying UN46B6000 and save me
some dollars.
2. AVR = Yamaha RXV-665 Vs Yamaha RXV-2700: I am split on this -
RXV2700 offers me many features but RX665 should meet my basic needs.
I won't get HDMI1.3 in RXV2700 and that's my primary reason to lean
towards RXV665. If that's not important enough than I would really go
for RXV2700.
3. Speakers = Definitive Technology 5.1 Channnel ProCinema or Bose
5.1 Channel Acoustimass® 6 speaker system. No specific choice, will
take on the recommendations.
4. NTSC to PAL converter = Com World CMD-RF1080p - This I would like
to put between AVR and TV because I expect all kinds of play back
devices(PAL and NTSC) connected to my receiver.
5. BluRay = undecided - leaning for Sony PS3
6. DVD player = Have an Sony old player
7. Wii Console
Please help me with some advise on my complete home theater set up -
specifically the AVR which is confusing me the most.

Neither. Look for a RX-V2600 on ebay. It's the best Yamaha receiver that's come out in a few years the newer models are not in the same class.

It goes for around 500 and is a steal at that price.

Go with the Def Tech speakers over the Bose.

I am not familiar with the older models of Yamaha recievers. But I am a new-to-Yamaha receiver owner myself (RX-V765) and I do have Def Tech speakers. Its a good matchup. :D
