rx-v3900 and ps3: no picture

I've hooked up an HDMI cable from the PS3 to my new RX-V3900, and I'm getting sound but no picture. I'm getting sound and picture from my Directv DVR as well as my Toshiba HDDVD player. All of my sources are hooked up by HDMI to their respective inputs and the receiver outputs to my Sony 60A2020 HDMI input.

Anyway, I'm getting sound but no picture on the PS3, and I can't figure out what I've done wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

There's a way to reset the auto output of the PS3 without going through the menu. I remember seeing it in the manual but haven't had to use it. I'll have to dig around for my manual. Give me a minute.

Turn off the PS3. Turn it on again by holding the button until it beeps, about 5 seconds. That resets the unit to default resolution.

op did it work? am curious
Before I read the suggestion, I unplugged the HDMI cable and reinserted it, and the picture is back! Thanks for the suggestion, though. I'll keep it handy.

My problem now is getting the receiver to recognize the powered subwoofers in my DefTech Mythos STS's. When I run YPAO, it doesn't output a subwoofer test signal, and the results show nothing for the subs (I'm not using surrounds or a center channel in this room). I've tried the various options to no avail.

Did you split the sub pre-out to each of the speakers using sub/coax cables?

I take it the STS does not have a "Subwoofer Input" RCA-jack like the BP7000 series?

If not, I would set the Yamaha to "No Subwoofer" and "Large, Full Range Speakers" or equivalent.

The def techs built in subs will only play lfe test tones from the receiver if you are using the optional lfe input on the back of the speaker.
