RSL send out an email on tariffs

RSL I've always known to be as straight a shooter there is sent out an email about prices going up because of the tariffs. They don't know when or how much because everything keeps changing. They won't raise prices on current inventory but it will affect any new runs. It's all very sad. I mean 145% is kinda not even able to be dealt with so I'm not sure if they will import anything till that is gone. It's basically an embargo at this point. It's just all very sad. I'm not gonna get political and just say it's all very sad.

I got that email a while ago myself.
As the number one RSL fan/user here on Audioholics, they were the first company I thought of when these tariffs went into effect.
Their entire line is built in China.

I was hoping to see the new CG5 line that's been promised to debut soon....now, I doubt it will debut at all.
Just hope they can make it through the next 3.75 years. (or until the Orangutan comes to his senses)

Yup couldn't agree more. They just sent me an email that the CG5 and CG25 will be out later but I'm thinking it's been shelves till things are more favorable.
On a side note, 145% tariffs could make Walmart go out of business. They can't work around that kind of crap and their shelves will be bare at some point. Dumbest game of chicken I've ever seen.

Similar companies are in the same boat unfortunately.
Just saw the Rythmik FV18 Direct Servo subwoofer is up to 3337 dollars now. Crazy.

Besides Walmart, think of Ebay and Amazon where 80 percent of what's sold is Chinese made !

I received the same email. Philharmonic has also been upfront about possible changes. Both companies are staying firm with what’s in stock or on order but who knows what the future holds for prices. Prices never go down but the latest changes may have a much more significant impact than inflation Has had. Strange Days as the Doors said.

Its gonna put a bunch of companies just in this hobby alone out of business. If this goes on and on of course. What if Denon goes under? I mean if all of Sound United goes under we lose a bunch of brands, historic brands.

Hope that doesn’t happen because that would obviously suck. There are so many companies now making excellent equipment that it’s a great time to be an Audioholic. Hopefully they can weather the storm.
