New to the forum and reaching out for some information about a pair of Rogers LS3/5A speakers I picked up at an estate sale. Internet research has informed me that these are precious and sought after by collectors and in particular the "Gold Badge" version that I have. The only catch is someone modified them by removing the terminals in the back and ran a braided single wire through the back that looks like its wrapped together so the pos and neg are connected. Not sure why they would do this. Can anyone offer any info and why or what this may do or have done to the speakers?
