Yeah, I do agree that pricewise talking, the Pio is kinda hard to beat...
Anyway, which one - in your opinion - has a better sound overall??

Well that's tough... Honestly I don't have enough high quality sources to do a good test.

With my focal on the wall speakers, klipsch sub, cox 8300HD dvr, and xbox (mp3s, internet audio, dvds, etc). I would have to say they are very close. The denon might have had a slight edge on the pioneer. Honestly though they both have so many sound settings that I'm sure with time you could make either of them sound exactly how you want. I just didn't have the denon long enough for a real good test of sound quality.
