Repair or replace subwoofer driver?

I have a M&K subwoofer with 2 8" drivers in push pull configuration, one of which has foam deteriorated beyond repair.

I am looking on recommendations:
1) should I try to replace the foam using a kit from wooferrepair.com or similar ~ $20
or
2) replace both drivers with suitable ones from P.E. ( thay have a dayton 8" with the proper Fs/Q ratio for sealed enclosures for ~$23 ea. )

I repaired a set of Infinity SM-150's (fifteen inch main driver) using the wooferrepair kit. It takes some patience, but the speakers sound great.

That being said, if you could match up and replace the main drivers for only $ 3 more, you would probably get more out of going that way in the long run.

In my case, replacing wasn't really an option.

Thanks for the advice Leprkon,
I'm going to try the repair- probably will get better results using the original driver. If it doesn't work I can always still trying to replace the drivers (would probably best to replace both so they match, I would think.)

It was as easy as the video shows. (you can view the video online before purchasing the kit).
Kick-A$$ subwoofer, for music. Fast, tight and accurate.
I believe it will be underpowered for HT, though I have not yet tried it in this capacity.
