Hi,
I was wondering if anybody has any experience with the refurbished Receivers from Accessories4less.com. They have the Onkyo TX-SR805 for 699$, which is 200$ less than anywhere else, but like I said it's refurbished.
They also have the Marantz SR7001 for 699$ too.
Both look pretty interesting....
Thanks for any posts.

No experience with them, find out if they are an authorized dealer for Onkyo and also find what the service plan or refurbished warranty might be from Onkyo.:)

'Refurbished' is tricky. In many cases there is absolutely no difference between the refurbished version and one that is new.

In some cases, they are units that were returned for whatever reason. In some cases they are overstock units that weren't sold in a pre-determined time period. In some cases, they are units that were defective and repaired or units with trivial cosmetic flaws. You just can't tell.

If there is a decent warranty with it, you can hardly go wrong with 'refurbished' units.

I've bought refurbs from Accessories4less with good resuts.

I bought a Marantz CD changer for $130 about two years ago and an Onkyo HT receiver for my step-son about a year ago.

They arived quickly, in good shape, with no cosmetic issues, and have worked (and still are working) perfectly.

I know they are authorized for Marantz refurbs and I do believe they are authorized for Onkyo as well.

I bought my 94 pound Canton Karats from them, as well as my Mordaunt Short surrounds. Their pricing was amazing. I would buy from them again.
