up until now, i've been saving up for a Pioneer VSX-23TXH.
but, i just noticed a special on amazon.com for the marantz SR7002 at 699$ USD (with an msrp of 1399$)
either one of these I was going to buy from the US (im from Canada)
but i was going to wait till black friday.
Anyway, question is, is the Marantz far superior to the pioneer? as far as sound quality and power/performance goes?
I know the marantz is lacking in the up-scaling dept, but i prob wont be using that feature, since i have my oppo.
