Receiver for WF-34 and Hsu VTF-1

After being in the market for a new HT system I had ended up going with the WF-34s after calling Vanns and getting them for 200.00 a piece and this just made it too hard to pass them up. I then added the Hsu VTF 1 for my sub which was suggested by Hsu. Now I am in the market for a receiver that I will eventually fill to a 5.1 system. Although I currently don't have a 3D TV, I would like to get a 3D capable receiver. I plan to budget around 400 dollars on the receiver (would be willing to purchase a factory reconditioned model). I have noticed after a little research that Klipsch speakers can be picky with different receivers as far as sound in concerned. Hopefully someone that has experience with with matching the two together will have some suggestions and tips!

After doing some more digging it looks that other Klipsch speakers have been paired with receivers such as Onkyo and Marantz because they tend to be "warmer sounding" receivers. Can I get some other brands of receivers that tend to be "warmer" besides the ones that I have stated?

Thanks

With a budget of $400, I would certainly forgo the 3D. It's a wash anyway.

Heck man, I think two sets of glasses will set you back $400 retail.

Onkyo probably sounds "warmer" because they run hot!:D

Klipsch tend to be bright(opposite of what you claim to be looking for), but I have never heard the models you purchased.

Speakers make the sound.

Klipsch tend to be easy to drive so an Onkyo TX-SR608 should do you fine unless you plan to go nuts with the volume. They sell for $320+S&H (refurbished) at Accessories For Less but you do see them on sale brand new for $350-400 shipped.

I'm with zumbo on this one. Lose the 3D. I've been running these same speakers with an older Denon and to me they were only BRIGHT for the first 30 or 40 hours. Then I put them on a Rotel I had sitting around and they settled down even more. Just my 2 cents.

I picked up a Yamaha RX-V671 for $300 NEW earlier this year on an EGG site. Just watch it for deals.
