Really Boring Stuff Only III: Resurrection

My 2yo cat is in the emergency. They still don't know what is wrong with him. He became very lethargic, which is highly unusual for him at his age. We scheduled an appointment with his vet, on Fri, but he continued to be unchanged so I took him to emergency yesterday morning and he is still there and still sick. They found something on his bladder and he is not urinating, so they are focusing on that right now. He was perfectly normal in the morning, by the afternoon he was hiding and sleeping all day, which is out of character because he is super social. So when he was still like that yesterday, I took him in.

My thoughts are with you guys.

We lost two of our little friends last year. Marmalade was expected after almost 3yrs of living with a heart condition. The other, Poppy, completely blindsided us.

Cats are very good at hiding problems.

Vet just called and said they had been giving him antibiotics because it seemed viral and was affecting his bladder. He responded to it, so he is out of the woods, but still recovering. They did additional bloodwork to see if they can identify what exactly it was. They'll monitor him and release him tonight or tomorrow morning.
