Arise, Boring Thread. ARIIIISE!

JohnnieB and I weren't able to meet up for lunch while he was here. Too bad. It would have been nice to meet him and his GF, but the timing just never lined up. They had a fantastic set of weather, though!

Son of a B! Of course I'm getting sick and of course it can't just be a head cold. It has to be a sore throat (<- that can't end well for me). Good thing I do a job where I just need to talk for about 7 hours straight.

If I lose my voice by the last period, maybe we'll just have nap time.

Edit: I thought this day couldn't be worse (other than the parent conference I have scheduled after school). Boy was I wrong. Now I feel like I'm going to throw up.

How are you feeling? Were you able to, um, keep things down?

Sort of. I hadn't eaten any solid food so what came up I just swallowed back down. Parent meeting that was supposed to take 10 minutes ended up taking almost an hour, but whatever, I made it. Got home, took about as many meds as humanly possible without negative side affects (at least according to what I could google) and passed out for about 4 hours.

Here's to no sick days. :D

So bored I forgot what I was doing. Now I'm doing nothing except getting hungry. Why do I not have any bacon in the house? I can't live like this.

For a second there, I thought that Niki had hijacked your account.

It's all about getting down to what really matters for me. If all creatures could simply agree that the pig is delicious, most of the big questions would not even need asking. Religion: Pig, Political Affiliation: Pig, Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: Pig ... and so on.

Niki had a bit of excitement this morning when we pulled up to a nearby park and there were coyotes there. Niki is usually very calm and rarely barks - unless she sees coyotes, and then she just goes high order. At first, we both only saw one of them - who seemed to pay absolutely zero attention to Niki barking like a banshee through the open car window. He or she was just waiting for a second one to stroll across the park, and then they both wandered into the bushes off to the side of the grassy area. I let Niki out of the car after they'd left, and she quickly made her way around, sniffing with her hair standing up. She doesn't walk very far anymore, so we don't go out hiking like we used to...and I'm really glad that she got to experience something outside of the normal daily stroll this morning.

Niki's not the only one in for a bit of excitement this AM. Sooner or later Greg will find this and I really meant to post it in the Drinking Now? thread but was too lazy too find it.
