While right I think this car analogy has been taken too far. The real point being there is no reason to replace the magnets on your drivers and if you do it most likely won't turn out as hoped with better lows. You will probably just ruin the driver itself.
Now that I can agree with :)

i say go for it man. try and test everything. a true audioholic would tinker with and test new ideas for as long as they are alive. don't let anyone tell you no.. i don't see why anyone on these forums would say no. replace the magnets, if you find the speakers sound worse, replace something else. if it still sounds worse (but maybe a bit better than before), replace another part. before you know it you'll have your own speaker you designed. you can't go on theory/scientifics alone, you need to do constant hands-on work and testing even if your ideas sound completely ridiculous.
