I have a pair of Bose 601's I got free from Bose when I sold home audio and video back when Sears was still around. Being I got free 601's I bought a pair of 301's and the Bose center channel. I know Bose is expensive for what you get and nothing like the stuff from the 60's and you have the whole Bose concept that audiophiles question. I also have a 12 in sub that was connected through a
THX Ultra 7.1 Home Theater Receiver JVC RXDP15B REF.
High performance and high quality are paramount with JVC's flagship receiver. The RX-DP10VBK uses zero-interference technology to ensure high quality.

Its a monster of a receiver and weighs 49 lbs.
I also have a Altec Lansing 5.1 that sounds great. But I live in an apartment now so I can't really turn anything up.
The TV is in the bedroom. Wife does not want speakers all over the place and is giving me grief just for wanting a set of rear surround speakers.
I get what you are saying but I don't have a lot of options. The TV is right next to my 6 foot tall cigar humidor and there is literally no room for speakers next to it.
I do thank you for your reply as I now know it will work even if the TV will be lacking. Just wanted the rears so there would be some surround for movies.
Thanks again for taking the time to reply!!
