Question on a "Center Channel Only" speaker layout....

Hello all, I am putting up a Plasma on my wall above the fireplace and has a mantle. I was wondering if there is a speaker out there that can provide my TV with a good sound performance that comes in only ONE speaker. It will go directly under my 50" Plasma and I can't put any other speakers anywhere else, therefore, I can only get one speaker up there.

Is there anything out there that will provide the sound/audio of my Plasma the "bump" it needs?? The stock speakers in the Plasma doesn't do well after 12 ft away from the TV.

Styles/Types and prices (if able) would be appreciated for choices.

There are several manufacturers that make all-in-one speakers for your exact requirement. The Polk SoundBar is one that comes to mind.

You might want to check out the Crutchfield website to get ideas of what is available.

Def Tech Mythos Surround is a nice one. Yamaha has a highly reviewed one.

No matter which one you get, you should highly consider having a sub too. None of them can handle the bass you'll find yourself craving.
