Is there a device to add to my Acer laptop that will transmit the audio via a Bluetooth signal?

Is there a way to configure the audio settings to go out via the USB device once I add it?

I've used smaller dongles with older laptops to get updated codecs, but the devices were in the same room, the model I linked covers my whole house in Missouri, with the exception of one room. Most everything I use is via TCP/IP and hardwired but doesn't help with my headphones, which is probably my weak my link.

I have about 175 so far of my LP's recorded. So that'll be slick to just select BT on my AVR rather than plug in my iPod Touch into my Teac CD player, which has iPod control. That works, but this'll be even better.

I'm all about simplification,. more so automation. I'm not sure about your AVR, however IP may be another solution for you. I don't use ITunes but there are many software solutions to give you full resolution if that is an interest for you. This Bluetooth dongle is absolutely an easy solution for you but if you wanted to explore more options down the road, you have them.

I'll be maxed out on my USB ports though unfortunately. I have three. I'd prefer to have an open one for a USB drive to transfer files in and out. There's the mouse, digital converter and now this BT adapter. I'll have to get a hub. Put the mouse and the BT adapter on that? Might be nice to keep the antenna sort of out of the way that way. Would the adapter work fine on a hub?

Depends on the hub, but I would keep it on the laptop. You wouldn't need any USB posts for IP, just depends on your AVR

I was trying to tag @Trebdb83 to ask him if the ISP method is doable with the RZ50. It won't tag him. Is he still on the forum?

Looks like the isp method will work with the RZ50. I'll see how that goes here pretty soon.

@everettT , I couldn't figure out how to connect it via ISP but I got it set up with the antenna you suggested. Works perfect. If I use itunes, the tags don't display, but if I just play the file with media player, it does. I didn't have to go into sound settings to select the output.
Something weird happened to my digital converter though. I unplugged the usb devices, then plugged them back in. The converter into a laptop port, not a hub port. About a minute later, I picked up the converter that is about the size of a 5-peice pack of Wrigley's gum and it almost burned me! I quickly unplugged it from the port. There is no other power to it. What the heck!!? You cannot plug the USB in upside down, of course, if that would even be a factor. Had I not found that out when I did, it likely would have started on fire. The outer shell is melted. The antenna is right now plugged into that port and everything (hub, antenna) is cool to the touch. Suffice it to say, I'll not get a cheap hunk o' crap like this one when I replace it. It did work great for over 4 years until this though.
