Say I got a 500$ product at BB (paid by credit card). Then I priced matched it to 400$ after looking at another store. Finally, without still opening it I regreted my purchase and decided to return it.

Would I be refunded the entire 500$ or just 400$? How does BB pay after matching? By credit on your credit card? or a gift card?

Price matches are generally reflected either directly on the original receipt or are put on a new receipt (with the original being marked or kept by the store). So, no, you can't price match something and then make money by returning it.

BB should refund your money to the credit card.

That makes sense- there's no reason for them to refund you money that you never paid.

However, if they do price match through store credit or a gift card then you could return the item and come out ahead, but I don't know how best buy works price matching.

It will go into their system as a price match and reflect the actual price you were charged so you will not come out ahead.
