Magnepan MMG's driven by a 35 Watt Monarchy Audio SM-75, never heard it clip before. However consider that the MMG's don't go that low in bass, thus lowering the power requirments. But also consider that they have a sensitivity of like 84db.

So just imagine a "normal" speaker with a sensitivity of like 91-92db. Even less power needed. These poeple that buy 250+ Watt amps for a normal (less or equal to) 12x12 room are crazy!
