The PS3 has better upconverting that the A2.
Firstly the PS3 upconverts to 1080p. It also passes all the HQV benchmark tests.
The XA2 is far better for upconversion than the A2.
Nonsense. The A2 (and the A3) are much better at upscaling than the PS3.
The PS3 only upscales on ONE axis, leaving a lot to be desired.
Ignore the whole 1080i versus 1080p issue, as the upscaled SD on the A2 at 1080i, and converted to 1080p by your TV is easily better than the upscalingon the PS3, even if it is displayed at 1080p.
And yes, the XA2 is better than everything else.
