Generally, the price of something goes up due to increased demand. It makes sense that flat screens are in high demand anyways right now.

Seriously though! who actually still uses an over the air antenna?!? Im mean come on can you really be that far behind?
my mother/father inlaw do. he had a bad experience with comcast years ago (i have them almost daily) and he swore them off.

i think its a price gouging thing.
they know that some people will freak out over the 2/17 thing, and just go buy something. not knowing the prices were "just" raised a somewhat large amount. supply and demand, sure, but not these days. after the poor CHRISTMAS sales, these things should be clogging the shelves. i was ready to buy 2 different 32" sets. the prices went up $50 over night. 1 of them went up another $10 the next night. this is my evidence.

I think you have to be crazy to buy from any of these NY/NJ dealers without doing a LOT of research. Might as well buy from Nigeria.
