If higher voltage is the only thing indicated, waiting until off-peak hours will achieve the same thing. I have measured 125VAC on my service in more than one location of my house. I have also verified that my surge suppressor removes noise from the line (Munster has a nifty little box called, I think, Dr Noise) and my lights never seem to flicker, even when the fridge kicks on/off. Are people having a dedicated circuit installed for their audio systems and using power conditioner/surge suppressor when they connect these power cords, or are they bypassing all of the power conditioning and going straight to the wall?
