Love the dog and love the fact that he/she has a seat!

Good Luck Dawg. Getting those permits can often be a huge pain. When I lived in Louisiana as a kid we built a pool and the house was across the street from the Historical District. I cannot even begin to tell you the issues we went through to get all of our permits. I know waiting is a huge pain, but as long as they don't try to deny you any permits you'll be in good shape.Still no progress. TXU just got their paperwork submitted to the City on Tuesday. Now I have to wait on the City. I am not a patient man!
I don't care what anyone says....a little Texas Hospitality goes a long way!!My pool builder called me yesterday and said I need to go sign off on some paperwork at the city. The lady at the City (Muni Complex) was very dry and matter of fact and told me she was behind and she had 6 permits to get through before she got to mine. She said it may take her a few days. I pulled out my number one weapon and quickly scanned her desk and walls to find her interests. I spent the next 20 minutes talking about her dogs and the fact that she won 'employee of the month'. I had her laughing and talking bad about "working for the man" and got her to really open up.
When I was leaving she said "oh, BTW, your permits will be finished within the next 3 hours and I will call your builder and tell him he can start as early as tomorrow".
My pool builder called this morning and said he has already been to my house today and sprayed the design of the pool, he will stake it out tomorrow and begin excavation Thursday at 10am.
Now I am really excited!

Make sure that paint doesn't leave a haze...Just got home and checked out the painted pool. Looks smaller than I was thinking but it's all the room I have back there with my 10ft easement line.
