A couple of my buddies, my wife and me pulled the old fence yesterday and spent 12 hours installing the new metal poles (had a lot of issues with the old post breaking and had to dig them out). We will hang the panels today and finally have some privacy again.
Why is it that every single step that is outlined above sounds like a drinking event? :D

Yet you still make it sound like work. :)

There was quite a bit of Don Julio and drinks named "Crazy Monkey" going around all day yesterday.

The first side of the fence is perfectly straight. The second side...not so much...

No pictures because I can't get in my yard right now, they are spraying the Pebble Tec.

They finished the Pebble Tec yesterday, let it cure overnight and acid washed it this morning. The color won't be final for a month or two but it will be a beautiful medium dark blue. The actual name is Tahoe Blue.

The fence turned out great with help from the neighbors. Took two days of solid work in the 100 degree temp and 60% humidity.

I have been digging ditches for the sprinkler this morning and John is headed over to help. We will try to complete them today.

I will still have to lay 1250sq/ft of sod and run all the lighting this week.

This is a tiring vacation.

Man the pool is starting to come together really well. Looks great. Once you have the finishing done and a few months in, when the greenery has taken hold, it will look fantastic.

Well, we didn't get finished with the sprinklers last night. 14 hours of ditch digging and fighting issues tying into the existing system. We should finish it today.

The fill started at 9:30 yesterday morning and ended at 5:30 this morning. I had to set my alarm to go off every 1.5 hours to check the level. Once it was full, I couldn't really sleep so I just stayed up. That will make for a long day today but I did enjoy a 7am swim! The water was just perfect.

The Pool Builder just came over and did the start up and first round of chemicals. Now we can start to see the beautiful in Carolyn's design.

Enjoy the pictures, I have to go dig another ditch but I know where to cool off today.

I hope you get many years of safe enjoyment out of your pool. It looks great except for that Texas water. :D

Today was retaining wall and yard level/top soil day. The retaining wall was something we didn't really want but had to have secondary to the slope of our yard. We went back and forth on how this wall should look. We decided to contrast it vs. matching the pool wall and crossed our fingers and hoped it would turn out good. Well, they just finished and I love it.

The little cuts outs you see will be down lights to add more punch.

Thanks guys.

I tried night shots last night but they didn't really turn out, I am horrible with a camera.

The colored lights are awesome in the pool. We seem to like the "light show" and the really dark blue. The red looks like someone was just stabbed in the pool.

I will get the sod layed tomorrow and get the landscape lighting done along with a little basic landscaping. I will then have a chance to clean everything up and get the patio furniture out and maybe get some pictures that say "100% done"!
