The Trump obsession blinds you to what's really happening in the forest.
Odd how you can say I'm the one who is obsessed by Trump yet you used an example specifically released in October 2020. It's like crying over spilled milk. You've repeated the Hunter Biden laptop theory as to why Trump lost. I've said repeatedly Trump lost, not due to his policy, but by his public behavior ironically.
Our current path was well determined before 2016.
How?
There is much time and events to pass before 2024. Some will be predicable as we see them happening now, inflation, out of control spending, the exposure of the West's priorities and strategies to be craven and corrupt. The corruption is not an impression, its a cancer. It will thrive because it is not exposed by the Media nor is it properly addressed by our government. The few at the top benefit at the cost to the common people. Corruption is not just "financial", it's the corruption of information, facts, history, media, et al.
Since the end of the Cold War, the West has been living in a bubble protected in a quasi "uni-polar world" where we focused on non existential issues. The sun is setting for that era. "History" is re-emerging from the shadows in a large way as we enter a multi-polar world and the new powers are not republics or democracies. They all have or want nukes and regional power. It will be back to basic national priorities if the "free world" countries are going to be successful. National cohesion, a strong economy, command of resources, strong military, and a properly educated and trained population will determine who prevails.
Is the West ready for that or will we focus on our smart phones and the proper use of pronouns?
