Pioneer VSX-9300TX - S-Video Problems

Hey guys...I need your help. I looked in the manual and can't make any sense of this. I just got the 9300 and I am loving it over all. Here is my set up before I get to the problem:

9300 --> TV via Components
DVD and HD Sat box -> 9300 via Components

Everything here works perfectly. Now I am trying to add my iPod dock and connect it via the VCR2 port with an S-video cable. The sound is working as expected, but the problem is nothing is getting to the TV.

I have tried other inputs and it seems like they all do the same thing. The manual mentions that you need Components to the TV if you are running Components to the 9300, but it states no limitation on S-Video cables if you are connected to the TV via Components.

What can this be?

Is something wrong with the 9300?

Thanks a bunch for your help guys.

Either the receiver cannot transcode from composite/s-video to component or it can but you haven't enabled the feature in the setup menus.

hmmm... odd...

I just connected the dock directly to the TV and no signal either. I checked with the DVD player and no go either.

Either the cable is broke...or the TV doesn't get the signal in right. I think I have to go buy a cable and see.....:(

What is odd is that the S-Video cable was the one I used to use to connect my satellite reciever to the TV...

Thanks MDS... The setup menu does not give me upconversion options. It is suppose to detect the connection automatically.
