Has anyone who has this model or the ones similar with the same remote been able to program the remote (by signal not code) to use a directv receiver? I have tried several times and the remote acts like it accepts the programming but after you save it does not work.
I called Pioneer and the tech stated that the frequency of the directv remote may be too high or low for the pioneer to accept it.
It seems odd to me that I was able to program all other hardware I have to work but the directv receiver will not hold. The remote has all of the neccessary buttons and when you go into the pre-programmed codes it has directv although none of those codes work.
And yes I know the remote is a very bad design and I will probably get another Sony RM-AX4000 or Harmony but I feel this should work.
