Will someone please talk me out of this?

I've had great luck with pioneer in the past and this seems like a great deal. I'm taking a small downgrade in power from my current receiver, but a huge upgrade in features, as mine is 5 years+ old now. I'm pretty impressed with the iPhone/iPod integration as well.

Anyone own this or try it yet? Any comments at all on this box?
Thanks!

the VSX-1120 is fundamentally equal to the Elite VSX-32 (minus the 12v trigger, amber screen, 1 less year of warranty, and the Elite stick on)

At it's sub $500 price, it is a great buy in a full featured a/v receiver with network and internet radio capability, along with iPod control and management.

Can't really talk you out of it, the beastie is a great buy. ;)

I did notice it increased $20 on the sale price today :(

Can't really talk you out of it, I was on the fence for the 1120 also. I too was in the Pio Elite camp for years. but Amazon had a screaming deal on the Marantz SR8002 and it is what I ended up with. To me, sound quality is the number 1 reason to upgrade. And I am really enjoying my choice. :D:D:D Remember, if you need 3d capability, you can always opt for a Blu-Ray player with dual HDMI outs to get the image to the tv, if the receiver is not 1.4 HDMI. All the other gadgets and gizmos are really not about sound quality, they are just there to make it easier to connect your stuff up.

I purchased one in Sept (Newegg with Bluetooth dongle for $550) and love it.

I use it in a secondary system in the family room and it works just fine. I was moving from an 8yo Onkyo 898 (Component only) AVR. The 1120K gives me HDMI switching and I was able to simplify my wiring to a 42" LCD. With HDMI, this will allow me to add a BDP to this system soon.

I ran the MCACC auto cal and it gave me some goofy results, so I just did it manually and got it where I want it. I know I can revisit this and improve things later.

The iPhone stuff is cool/fun, but I have all my music on a server and use a Squeezebox already, so it's not a high priority for me.

I did DL the iPhone app to control the AVR to my iPod touch and it's pretty nice.

Thanks for the positive input. I'm pretty much sold on it , and probably going to pull the trigger in the next month, I'm just overseas right now.
I'm surprised to hear the MCACC gave you weird results, I used it on my current Elite set up and it was terrific!
