Well, I think even our CIA stated well over a million died in Russia. Why are they sending all their air defenses to Moskow, I wonder.
Another waste of life war. The more videos I watch the less I think it's all Russia's fault. Russia may have tired of being provoked by NATO. Plus the aid to Ukraine was stolen.

Does feel like we're moving in the direction of 'nukes as a deterrent'.

OK, this makes no sense to me.

In what way was Russia being provoked by NATO? Ukraine being accepted into NATO just wasn't happening, so that's not it. Other former Eastern Bloc countries joined NATO because they were afraid of Russia, a fear which was clearly justified. Regardless, if Russia felt provoked, that still gives them no right to Ukrainian territory.

If aid to Ukraine was stolen, who stole it and from where was it stolen?

I heard the aid never made it. Whether or not true I dunno.

I think your probably right. Russia doesn't want Ukraine to join NATO because that would give them an extra layer of protection. Provoked probably meant NATO knew they were invading and sitting on the border.

Iran will no longer exist!

Per the headline from Breaking Points. Looks like they're doing a decent job of existing. ;)

Just like US had no right to go into Venezuela or starve the Cubans out of oil. Two wrongs never make a right.

I would really like to know the motif behind Russia going into Ukraine but from a Russian’s perspective to gain a better understanding of what this crap is all about.

You might start with that Alexander Dugin guy, a political philosopher and sort of contemporary Rasputin who has Putin's ear.

In addition to the more colorful narratives of Dugan, some of it is practical military necessity expressed from Putin and Russian officials. Putin knows his country's history of invasion by Napoleon and Hitler, and the old Warsaw Pact borders are far more contained defensible than present borders which are more expansive and vulnerable. NATO really has expanded well into the former Warsaw Pact states, and as you know they have used that encroachment explicitly as the excuse for their 'special military operation' into Ukraine. This ill fated plan reflects Dugan's prescription to reestablish Russian influence via conquest.

Russia is also up the proverbial creek without a paddle demographically, so maybe Putin realizes it's now or never.

Plus he seems like an old mob boss with senility. Similar to our guy that way.
