I killed some time to add my system to my signature. The ultra will be replacing a JBL PB12 that has started to make some annoying popping sounds and sometimes its down right scary loud. Its been a pretty good performer over the years.

Well, its here!!! :D Man this thing is big! My wife is gonna crap when she gets home. :) I mean I took the tape measurer and showed her the dimensions and all but...Anyhoo, too late now. Did a quick calibrate to get things rolling, then popped in The Incredibles to the airplane crash in ocean -WOW. Then U571 depth charges of course - WOW. Then War Of the Worlds scene 5 {pod coming out} INCREDIBLE, I was just laughing, this thing is WOW. {and Huge}. Played some Pink Floyd Pulse dvd, sounds spectacular. I also have a CD called Tantra Drums by Al Gromer Khan, its sounds very good. Its a CD I picked up at a dollar store 4/5 years ago. After a while I think I will add a plug and watch a movie, not sure which yet. Here some pic -

I actually got it in the house myself. I put a plank from trailer to middle step, then just gently rolled it end over end into the house. Then slid on carpet to close to where it is, opened tops, turned on side and slip it out on it side. The thing that took the longest was getting the bag off. I think in my excitement I pulled it tighter, had to get something to pry the knot apart. This thing just makes you giggle and grin with what it does, well me anyway. I think it adds a whole new dimension to the complete spectrum of sound to the system. I put one plug in and watched the "DARLA" scene [NEMO], I had to watch it 3 or 4 times. And also hits some of the highlight [loud] scenes of TRANSFORMERS, wow. Well, I think now I will watch a whole movie. ;)

Well I think I have it where I want it [calibration wise], have some friends coming over tonight, not sure what we are watching yet.

I used the "DARLA" scene over and over to isolate rattles in the house. Had to put felt pads behind all the picture frames where they meet the wall. And I have a metal bamboo sculpture, I made, hanging on the dinning room wall that needed a few "adjustments". ;)

Nice setup...I've had mine for nearly a year and I still find new rattles that seem to crop up at different frequencies. I'm sure your friends are going to be a bit overwhelmed. We have some friends that don't have a HT system. When we invite them over, it's movie night. The looks on their faces are very rewarding :D.

Well my guest had to bail on me last night. Maybe they were to afraid. So it was just me and my Ultra. Decided to watch Pearl Harbor, talking about a lot of percussions! I moved my recliner into the sweet spot, and the thing felt like it was moving. Each shell percussion fired from the anti-aircraft gun hit you in the chest.

A few things I sampled yesterday - Diana Krall Love Scenes Cd was superb, the bass was sweet. - Richard Strauss [32 bit Cd], Einleitung [2001 Space Odyssey] sounded great. Also loaded up my older ultimate DTS movie trailers and found the one for Jurassic Park 2 was most impressive.
