Hi, I have (2) PB10-NSD's in my theater room, about 2000 cf. in size. They are not colocated because they can't be. There is about a 3db gain difference with the second one turned on. When I ordered these, I had the thoughts of whether they were going to be enough to satisfy my hunger for bass. I must say that I am extremely happy with them with watching movies, or listening to music/SACD's etc.
Sorry this post is a little late, but it is good to hear that you are enjoying the PB12-NSD.

Hi Mike, thanks for your reply. Noticed your set-up and it is basically the same exact way I want mine. Just love the Axiom speakers. Anyways, right now I do believe the PB12-NSD will be enough. I may, however, get another in a couple of months. I have the room to co-locate them BUT doubt I would in order to obtain a more even frequency response. Thanks for the info and have a great day.:) :)

Cheers,

i noticed earlier you mentioned that the 12nsd wasn't as ''fast'' for music as the 10nsd is.

what would having dual subs....one 10nsd and one 12nsd.....do for that situation? does 10nsd's speed shine through with the added low response of the 12nsd.....or are the two melded together when you combine them?

thanks.

The PB-10 isn't any faster than the PB-12, it just has a different sound to it due to the different size driver. IMO, the PB-10 is a bit more punchy in its upper range and has less rumble down low than the PB-12.

This is about the way I describe the two. Basically, the PB12-NSD will do everything the PB10-NSD does but will give you more of it if you will. However, imho the PB10-NSD is a bit better musically speaking whereas the PB12-NSD was significantly better down low dynamically speaking. Furthermore, I did prefer the pitch of the PB10-NSD over the PB12-NSD or any other sub I own or have owned to date. However, it is my understanding the PB12-NSD has been much improved musically speaking. Personally, I would NOT get a PB10-NSD and then a PB12-NSD. Would much rather have duals of either. Hope this helps and good luck with your choice. :):)
