cough denon cough

i also just realized that the 3808 remote doesn't need line of sight to the receiver (or at least in my case)

my receiver is behind me, and i keep pointing the remote at the screen ... but this time the 3808 remote responds ;) (and i have the volume display overlayed on the screen)

You guys hush with all the Rep talk, this is serious business.
What's this? Greg (a.k.a. the Def Scotchman) wants to get a thread back on track? A career threadjacker turned forum-abiding citizen? Is this a real change of heart, or merely a ruse? Either way, make him a mod, and we might just have a made-for-TV movie on our hands.

You are too funny.

Does anyone know how big the volume display is on the RX-Z11?

Ok, let's say the display issues is really bothering me and I quit Yamaha. Is the 3808 as good as the 3800? Keep in mind that I use an external amp so I am just looking at this more or less as a preamp that powers 2 surround speakers and a zone 2 & 3 switch.

2. You were more drunk than me and I am pretty certain I saw my big dog humping on you in the backyard

3. You have not seen the abuse that I do to my Digms when I am home alone and feeling sexy
Not that there's anything wrong with either one of those.

This is the sickest thing I have seen on this forum.

Leave it to Andrew!
I was wondering what that was leaking out of them ...I thought it was odd when you said Digms use coolant ;).

Yes, consider this thread dead. Well, not dead, let's keep the funny stuff going....

I am not one to second guess my purchases so this was weird for me. I do think I was making too big a deal of it. I am going to put the 659 in the bedroom to power the SpeakerCrafts. If I want to see I big volume display, I can just go in there.
Deleted because Greg has made up his mind.:)

Crap, I just remembered that I have to fish wires down the bedroom wall if I add the AVR in there vs. just running it off a seperate zone like I am doing now.

Anyone want to come by and lend a helping hand?

lol....something may be wrong with me...

When I first got my credenza the HDMI cable for my display was to short to reach from my PS3 to the display. Since I couldn't wait to hook it all up, I just placed my TV 4'' to the left along with my center speaker. This has always bugged me but I said I would not re-do it all until I got a new AVR and had to rerun some wires/cable anyway.

Well, I got the new AVR, hooked it all up and still didn't center everything. My excuse this time was that even with the AVR out, the credenza is still too heavy and the whole thing needs to go over 4''.

My BJC HDMI cables just arrived and I have no excuse now. I removed all my gear, put "sliders" under the feet of the credenza so I can move it easily anytime I want and I am properly running all my wires and cables.

I should be working but I had a good morning in he field so I am good for the rest of the month.
