They sound great on any gear. In fact I think they sound the same.
Well like I said earlier I heard them in 2 different rooms. One had a Pioneer elite receiver and the other had a Yamaha. The room with the pioneer did not sound nearly as good as the one with the Yamaha. And btw these two rooms were in the same store right next to each other.

so you guys would recommend the studio's over the monitor, I am aware the studio should be better speakers, but I just got a pair of old paradigm monitors, don't know the model, and i do enjoy them alot. I am wanting to replace my Acoustic research. and i think i want the cabinet front rather then really flat fronts. I guess my idea of getting the largest monitor, rather then the smallest studio.
You go out and listen to the 6k Sig 8's and listen to the $140 Cinema 70's and like those better. So does that mean you should get the Sig's because they are more expensive? No. Get the ones that sound good to you.

Thanks for the recommendations, I will go to the shop and audition them out. I will audition the studio line, and the monitor series.

What do you guess think of the Canton Ergo series compared to the Paradigm Studio Series.

I am wandering because a friend is a dealer for Canton, and i could get any canton speaker, I was looking into the Ergo, but found the monitor a little cheaper. sorry to be off topic....

At that level it just depends on what sounds better to you. They are both really good speakers.

I have a pair of old Paradigm monitor's, and i honestly like them alot. so i thought of buying the new ones. but if you guys recommend the studio instead of the monitor. than the money jumps higher too. I am just figureing that if i am going to pay about 1700 for the studio 60's, then i can buy the ergo 609 dc for the same price. thanks for the feedback

I recommended the Studio 20's for $900 bucks. But if you need tower speakers there are plenty that sound great under $1800 bucks.

Thanks for the different links, I was also looking into the b&w's, I have auditioned the B&W, Paradigm, and Canton. but all in different locations, and of course with different amps. very difficult to compare.
