Paradigm Monitor 7v5 or Energy C-500 ??

Hey guys,

im looking at upgrading my mediocre yamaha sound system (5.1 system with a powered subwoofer) by upgrading the front speakers by getting some floorstanding speakers. Although ive just started researching, i've found that i've taken a strong liking to the Paradigm Monitor 7v5's and the Energy C-500's. They're both the same price ($790 cash Canadian, taxes in).

Which one would you guys recommend? is there another speaker in this price range I should look at? I live in a small town, so its kind of hard to find all these brands you guys mention on the site. But do you think I'm getting a good deal?

Anyways, what do you think? which speakers would you get? the Paradigms or the Energy's ?

Energy speakers are close equals to the digms. IMO I perfer the Energy speakers and the reason is simple, they allow their retailers more headroom from their MSRP.

so i ended up buying the paradigm's!

they had to order them in, so i should have them next week!

Came up to $775 CDN cash with taxes. good deal i think.

I have not priced out digm's. That said, $775.00 with GST I would second that as a good score!
