Seriously, I have no life.
Man, just for fun, I should contact Def Tech and ask if they will do the same thing as Paradigm.:D

What about Denon?

If you need repairs, do you have to send your Denon back to the exact same store you bought them from?:D
Many component makers have service centers and you send it to the closest one, unless you heard a great experience from another center, out of your area. They are not so protective, just to buy from authorized dealers, that's all.
Good thing my boombox is here to stay:D Don't need all these hassles:eek: no matter what.

I had a very positive experience with Paradigm. I recently discovered a very small paint chip on the back of one of my Signature S1's which were approximately 4 months old. I contacted Paradigm customer service and they told me to bring them to the dealer and have them shipped back. I received a brand new pair 4 business days later. No headaches what so ever.
Was that the dealer you bought it from, or another? Perhaps the dealer is not that picky and protective.;):D

If you read his post correctly ;) :) you'll notice he said he called "PARADIGM CUSTOMER SERVICE" Not the dealer so it wouldnt of mattered what the dealer thought if Paradigm cs said send them back, then the dealer must follow the proper channels of command . btw Paradigms FTW :D

Here is the response I got from Definitive Technology regarding their warranty policy:

Thanks for your recent email to Definitive Technology.

Warranty service on our products is generally handled by our local dealers or by working directly with Definitive Technology. (We ask/require our dealers to service what they've sold.) Normally the easiest way to obtain warranty service is to take the Definitive product back to the dealer where you purchased it.

Next, if you no longer live near the dealer where you purchased your Definitive product (or if the dealer has gone out of business), it gets a bit gray with obtaining service from a Definitive dealer that didn't originally sell the Definitive product to you. Meaning, if a dealer didn't originally sell the Definitive product to you, they're not obligated to service it.

From my experience, the smaller specialty stores are pretty good about servicing something they didn't originally sell, whereas, the larger chain stores are not particularly helpful with servicing something they didn't originally sell.

Next, you could obtain warranty service by working directly with Definitive Technology. In this case, you could either send the Definitive product to Definitive Technology for service or if you're handy with electronic gear we could work with you at the parts level.

If you need any other information, please email me at chet.pelkowski@definitivetech.com.

I'm not one to be spending that kind of money on speakers. A warranty is only good if you plan on over driving them or out of the box issues. A $400 set of speakers should not have these issues. After reading the entire post, I was getting pissed off myself, being a hot headed guy, I would have taken the defensive side with your local dealer and tried to be honest with him but with a strong tone! It is your money you know! I would have lowered my standards to his level and ripped into him like a monkey on a cupcake. and say "WTF man? I come here trusting you, listening to you taking your advise on everything you have to say, and this is how you treat a loyal customer, by f-in me over?? What kind of place do you run here?? Its incredible how much you really don't know someone until you get a second opinion. continue saying, "I'm shocked at you! Guess what, you just lost a customer, and you just made it clear that you can't be trusted any longer. And you really did not care about me and my speakers, it was just about the all mighty dollar. You're pathetic!" And walk out!

If you really like those speakers buy them from the other dealer before he gets shut down. Verify that they are genuine (not a counterfeit). Make sure they have all the necessary paper work to prove this and then get them. I know you're upset, but why punish yourself? if you really want them. I know how it feels when you really want something, you save up for it, and then get crushed by this bull crap.

Yes, but my question was about taking the speakers back to the dealer. Was it the one he bought it from or another dealer that treated him well regardless where he bought it.
