GlocksRock Audioholic Spartan May 6, 2008 #2 It's still over $1000 less than the Denon... but yes, it's ridiculous. I'm glad my PS3 is as good as it is, because there is no way I would pay that much for a blu ray player.

Do you think the prices of blu-ray players are increasing since HD DVD is gone? Or is it just INFLATION? I mean DefTech recently increased their prices. So did Paradigm. Do did Bryston. I'm just glad Denon did not increase the price on the DVD-3800BDCI! Sony has not increase their prices either.

stratman Audioholic Ninja May 7, 2008 #6 Bryston and company, all foreign, dollar's taking a beating right now, so expect foreign made goods to go up. As for Panny's price, is that street or msrp? If it's street, in this market, it'll either come down fast or not sell.

This appears to be the player everyone's been waiting on with the features everyone wants, but for that price fuhgeddaboutit! I believe the price will come down very quickly.

j_garcia Audioholic Jedi May 12, 2008 #9 Yeah, after reading that not too long ago, I had to rethink this one as a stand alone. That is MSRP though, it will street for less, but still isn't going to be in the $400-500 range. I may just pick up a BD30 now and use the PS3 for any Profile 2.0 disc features I might be interested in.

Agave catus is no longer being farmed because of corn; no more cehap Tequliia No HD versus BD competition, So speaker companies and DVD compnies are following suite.

P ParkerAudio Full Audioholic May 13, 2008 #12 Thank god we lowered interest rates to bail out all those schmucks that shouldn't of had home mortgages in the first place, made everything else cost more. Our government is brillant! Buy a PS3, I think it will be a long time before there is a better player, and this is coming from a guy that also owns a Denon.
