I hope this isn't too much of a thread jack. I just wanted to make a couple of suggestions for ADTG to encourage him to take these up to the next level if he is so inclined.
All threads are jacked. Otherwise, they would be boring as hell sometimes.:D

It would be Abnormal if they were not jacked.:D

I was going to say I would never mod a speaker, but I should know better to never to say "Never".:D

This isn't really a mod. A screwdriver and a little glue ... it's minor.
You'll be done in 4.7 minutes. :D

I'm starting to think that PENG might have lost all respect for you now that you have compared these to the Studio 100's and B&W 800's. I'm really looking forward to hearing back from you about the height adjustment and I'm looking forward to hearing back from Mike regarding going in deep. Oh yeah, Tarub recently got a pair of these and a guy down in Austin has a pair too. Algoron I think. All this Primus talk is making me want to yank my grills and start playing with them again ... but I have a few things I gotsta do first.

I think he might forgive me since I have a Denon AVR-5308CI & a Denon AVR-4308CI (which he also owns:D).

I also listened to the P362 while sitting close to the floor (tweeters @ ear level) and I also listened while lying down on my sofa, which I usually do when listening to my BP7000SCs.:D

It might have improved a little, but since it was not a DBT, I can't say for sure.:D

I'll do some more testing with the height issue.

But I like the black rubber feet better, so I will unscrew those silver feet and replace them with the black rubber feet like your P362s -- that is the extent of modding I'm willing to do right now.:D

I kinda understood what you were referring to, but I don't understand what "You perfects!" means....
Something tells me he meant perverts but spell check got the better of him somehow.

I suspected that's what it was supposed to be. I just don't know how I'm getting lumped in with the perverts, when it's you asking strange guys to sit on your knee, while you play with your do-ins'....:D

How did that happen?

I could have sworn I spelled "pervert".
Freudian slip. You secretly just love Canadians. You could probably have Dave, ya know.

Speaking of Canadians I am dying to hear from PENG.

I spent some more time listening to the P362, but this time in their "permanent" location - the family room, which is ~ 1.5 times bigger than my HT room.

I sat down so that the tweeters were about ear level. The P362s were 6' apart. I was sitting 7' away.

They sounded as clear and impressive as they did in my HT room.

As expected, some songs sounded better than others.

On a few of the very best acoustic recordings (less bass music) I own:D, I dare say the P362s sounded almosts as great as any direct-front-radiating box speakers I've ever auditioned.

I truly highly recommend these speakers to anyone who wants great sounding speakers without having to spend thousands of dollars. I would recommend these speakers to my brothers, sister, parents, and all my relatives and friends.

If I had just one word to describe the P362, it would be "clear".

It sounds like they're a total bargain at those prices...then, why do people try and fault them for that? I might run out to my local BB(wife at work:D) and pick me up a pair and give em' a listen myself.

AcuDTGuy, I am just amazed that you had room to actually place another pair of speakers. ;)

That's easy!
If they cannot find fault with the P362's it means they could out-perform the speakers they just paid 2, 3, or 4 times as much for!

Are they better than (or equal to) the well respected Aperion or Ascend offerings for $1000? If so, many of us have been giving bad advice!

Who knows how much inference can be made about the P362 from the P162 bookshelf speakers? I'd assume the drivers may be the same(?). The P162's performed well, but were not standouts in this "shoot-out".

http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/speakers/bookshelf/budget-bookshelf-shootout-2009

The P362's certainly seem to offer a sweetspot in full-range speaker value! The next question is how much more do you need to spend to get a significantly better speaker?

Always room for expansion.:D

My HT room used to be my only domain, but I have taken over the family room also.

The P362s' mids and trebles are extremely clear.

Have to go now.:D
