Oppo DV-981HD DVD player

To connect a Oppo DV-981HD DVD player to the Yamaha RX-2700 should I use the Up scaling on the DVD player or the Receiver and do I have to configure the input / output on the receiver or is it plug and play type deal.

Use the Oppo's scaling. Plug and Play. (Simplay)

I don't have to make any setting changes in my setup menu on my Yamaha receiver?

No, it will just pass the HDMI signal on to the tv.

Let the OPPO do the up-converting. It does a great job!

I own the DV-981HD and so far I love it. My only complaint is the remote buttons and labeling is not meant for my blind eyes But if you use a universal remote it's not a problem.
