$1k is about what I paid for mine new, so I'd agree it is a good price for a 205. It doesn't sound a magnitude of order better than the 105 though, but you'll get 4K capability.

Good thing you mentioned that, I haven't tried my DVD-A on my Sony yet. I naturally prefer to use the Oppo or the Denon to play those discs but I should try the Sony just to make sure it works.:)
Good idea, make sure you set it to DVD A on setting first. I'm sure you already know that though . Ill report back about the audio board replacement hopefully it works out ok.

I accidentally spent 1100 on a 203 thinking it was a 205..couldn't inspect it and guy won't refund so meh need some good music to relax.

The 203 uses the AK4458 dac ic, same one used in many Denon/Marantz AVRs, not SOTA but still transparent enough. It is a great 4K player regardless. Most owners probably wouldn't use it for their so called serious audio listening, but if done blind, I highly doubt they would hear a difference between the 203 and 205 except in a very quiet room the 205 would be silent whereas the 203 might have noise audible to those very sensitive to noise. I really missed the boat on the 205, they typically now go for C$3,000 to C$5,000, used.. I am sure I wouldn't be able to tell a difference listening to music, but to me, the specs and measurements/ownership pride are worth the money.;)

Yes if you include the link to the review please.

I don't own any of the Denon integrated amps as I am more a "separate" person, so either AVR/AVP, but not integrated amps that to me is a compromise that I can easily avoid.:)

In terms of Denon flagship integrated amp, it used to be the 50 W rated (yes, only 50W, weighed a ton, so very expensive on $ per watt basis) PMA-SX, that had been discontinued a few years ago, then in 2019 they launched the PMA-SX11 limited, a little cheaper listed at ¥780,000 or about US$6000-$7000 at the time, and rated much more, for 100/200 W 8/4 ohms, but that seems to have been discontinued now as well so I guess your A110 is indeed the flagship!

Here's the most expensive Denon integrated amp, based on only 50 W 8 ohms, 100 W 4 ohms, wonder how they managed to sell any, no wonder it got discontinues lol..

Specs:

Elliptical sand casted power supply transformer, claimed ultra high current, 240 A instantaneous current (a bs spec obviously) delivery if I remember right:

Appeared to be fully differential input to output, at nearly 70 lbs, got to be one of the heaviest 50 W rated class AB amp.

I think the 80 W 55 lbs A110 is also a literally high current amp too.

It should pair well with 4 ohm nominal speakers.
